"Fortunately," he echoed, glancing sideways at her with a weary smirk. He'd exited through the parking garage, avoiding his secretary, security, anyone who worked for him as he tried to find a source of coffee that didn't involve him invading the staff room and stabbing blindly at the buttons that would create the liquid more precious than gold to a caffeine addict. Especially a hungover caffeine addict.
The water went down in a few gulps, the way wine did at high class functions. Setting the goblet down, he reclaimed the coffee cup he'd brought with him, the contents on the higher end of being lukewarm after his deliberation in methodology and view with Integra.
"I'm going to have to decline," he replied respectfully. A pause followed as he finished off the cooling coffee, the thought of getting another on his way back to the office knocking around his brain. "I figure I can use a little more fresh air before being confined to the office for the rest of the day. Appreciate the offer though."
