He was about ready to turn down the offer but the water had already been poured so he accepted. Lindsey ran a hand over his face with all the chagrin of someone who had been caught in the aftermath of doing something stupid. Honestly, drinking that much had been stupid. Though really, in comparision to losing his hand and having his heart ripped out repeatedly as a method of torture, the hangover really wasn't that bad. Or shouldn't have felt like it.
Lindsey dropped his hand, glancing over at Integra. "Unfortunately," he remarked as he sat up straight again and leaned back against the seat. A bitter tone laid just under the calm response, frustration directed at himself. It was like a master poker player inadverdently revealing part of his hand in a semi-final game for not one, but the entire table to see. He snorted at her remark. "I just might've been through enough of them by now."
He mulled over her response. "The key to any healthy, happy organization," he said finally. Maybe someone should have gven Angel that method. "The chain is only as strong as the links that make it up. Old saying but sticking around this long makes it ring a little truer."
