"No one smart should ever put trust in those kinds of allies. They have their uses but trusting them? No." Lindsey shook his head slowly. His work with the type had taught him how to control him, the careful manipulation and sometimes acting that came along with it.
"If by uncorrupted you mean with morals firmly in place and observed, morals here meaning the traditional ones of the good boys and girls, then the side of "evil" would have an extrodinarly hard time finding that kind of loyal ally out there," he stated smoothly. "However, it would be possible to still find a very loyal ally but I wouldn't expect them to be very bright." He held up a hand. "Not that there aren't people who can be both. However, there would be hesitancy to call them 'evil' like the rest."
Someone who would mindlessly follow the side he had been designated too without thought of betrayal either had very simple wants in life or not too many brain cells to rub together, in his opinion. There was a stereotypical designation that "evil" received for certain characteristics. Loyalty was not among them but it was possible.
His expression became carefully blank as she asked a very smart question, one that he'd expected very few to question. He narrowed his eyes slightly. "What makes you think their goals aren't mine," he asked cautiously, "and we just differ on how to go about it?" They weren't, not by a long shot, but it was all part of the game.
