She was pretty sure she was cursed. Only her could run into the largest freaking wolf she had ever seen while not even trying. Kneeling she pulled the larger of her knives from its place in her boot. Jo glanced at the other girl who was hovering against the wall with a look of sheer terror.
"You should probably run," she told the girl, a strange calmness in her voice. The other girl would only be a hinder and it relieved Jo to see her run quickly away from the wolf.
Jo however didn't. She wasn't exactly fully prepared to deal with something like this, but she was fairly certain she was more prepared than anyone else in the area. She could feel the familiar surge of adrenenline filling her veins, feel her heart beat pick up and her fingers tightened against the hilt of her knife.
"Hope you like silver," she muttered as she darted closer to the creature and moved to slice the blade through it's shoulder, keenly aware of the large muzzle.
