That broke her heart. "Oh, hon. I'm sorry," Cathy repeated, giving her a gentle squeeze. Auditioning was hard enough on the nerves in itself, she knew, without turning into a violent experience. "Hey, I'm sure it won't be their last call. And, you know, I'm keeping my eyes open for auditions, too. I'll keep you in the loop if I happen to find anything."
It wasn't much, but at this point it was the only thing Cathy could think of to offer up. Besides, they were obviously in the same boat when it came to show business. It would be nice, to have a friend that was going through the same thing, to support and vice versa.
She considered the question. "I would worry about you if you didn't get checked out," Cathy told her honestly. "I'll wait with you, if you don't mind."
