No matter what anyone said to Nick, he was standing by the idea that Joe had plotted against him in an elaborate attempt to freak his younger brother out and if this was the case, he had to be proud because he had effectively freaked the second youngest Jonas out enough for him to start searching for the nearest hospital to avoid getting himself into some major trouble. As much as he knew his family wouldn't dare leave him in the middle of the city by himself, he still couldn't risk leaving anything to chance.
The youngest of the trio continuously pulled his Blackberry out of his pocket anxiously, checking for any messages and to see how much battery he had left. He had tried time upon countless time to call his family, but for some reason he couldn't get through. They had just gotten new phones and numbers, so he didn't see why he couldn't reach them. Really there shouldn't have been an issue.
Leaning against the side of a building, he briefly considered walking into it to avoid the nightlife creeps but was interrupted by his thoughts when he heard a girl screaming not too far away from him. His brown eyes narrowed dangerously as he stared off into the distance, trying to find the source of the scream. Normally, he would send Big Rob out to check what was going on but the scream wasn't a fangirl scream and Big Rob wasn't anywhere to be found. He fingered his Blackberry nervously before shoving it into a back pocket on his jeans and ran off in the direction he thought the girl was.
What he found when he got there, though was like something out of a bad but good Bela Lugosi film, and he debated with himself to run away and find someone else to help the girl. But then what sort of person would that make him? It wasn't like he was weak, his pod hadn't run out of insulin yet and he had eaten not too long ago so he could deal with it. Nick spotted a pole, why, he didn't know in the gutter and he grabbed it quickly, holding it up menacingly before addressing the guy at the girl's neck, "You.. stay away from her.."
