Keeping his chuckle of amusement to a minimum to avoid disturbing her further, Nathan's fingers continued their steady work on her shoulders, nodding though she couldn't see him. It was nonsensical enough to hope sleep might well claim her again for a few more hours, but clear enough for him to know he did need to keep up with his best moves, massage-wise, to lull her further toward sleep again just to be certain.
"Pink with ribbons, got it," he murmured, moving his head to kiss the top of her hers before returning his head to the spot it had been resting on hers. He was still tired, it seemed, but he was more importantly completely content. It was a good change from things of late, from the tension over Cordelia to far more personal, and much more subtle, tension between he and Heidi.
He smiled at her clarification concerning Claire. "I think I can probably live with that," he said, pleased by the thought.
