WHO: Nathan & Heidi Petrelli WHERE: the Hyperion WHEN: Sometime the morning after the hotel settles post-rescue. WHAT: Downtime. RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
"Where are you two going?" Nathan didn't even bother to do more than crack one eye open at the sounds of whispering and shuffling that had started in the other bed and had now moved toward the door. Heidi shifted in his arms and he stroked her hair, not ready to give up the rare treat of having been able to sleep the night with her in his arms. Chastely and fully clothed, of course, but no less enjoyable.
"Places," Simon said, managing to be angelic and evasive all at once. As only a Petrelli could, it seemed.
"Not without Sarah and she's sleeping." It was why he was in this room, after all, having yet again gotten kicked out of his own. Not that he had been reluctant to go – they all needed sleep, Peter especially - as it left him the chance to do this. "As you both should be."
Monty rolled his eyes. "We know she is."
Simon toyed with the door handle and pointed to the phone. "We asked Claire. The older one."
Nathan stifled a groan as he looked to the clock. Well, at least it wasn't the early, early hours of the morning and, he found as he opened the cracked eye fully, they'd managed to dress themselves. The internal debate between getting up himself or letting them go find breakfast and entertainment while he attempted to linger in bed with Heidi was brief, ending with him staying right where he was. He'd apologize later to his daughter for what she likely hadn't realized she'd end up with by offering to watch the boys this morning.
"No running in and out of here every half hour. You go away for the next three hours or you stay and sleep." All sternness in the order was lost to affection.
The response was an immediate chorus. "Bye!"
Chuckling as they disappeared out the door, Nathan closed the cracked eye and then kissed the top of Heidi's head.
