Well, that bit was a rather large relief and Remus visibly breathed a sigh of relief. If people could come from any time, what would happen if he had been of an earlier time? Just out of Hogwarts when he had had... other relationsihps. Remus swallowed hard and fought to keep a straight face. Things could have gone very ugly very quickly.
"Well, that makes two of us," Remus said, attempting to crack a smile. "Though I'd say you have the distinct advantage of being here for a few months. But then again, at least I don't have to worry about securing housing. Assuming, of course, that you want me around here with you," he teased gently.
He looked down at their hands, resting on her stomach before he moved away from her and towards the coffee table and the couch -- he wanted that cup of tea. Still rubbing his arm, Remus waited until she had sat beside him and slipped an arm around her. He thought he was still in a state of shock which was why he hadn't said much beyond 'is it mine?'. He poured himself a cup of tea, breathing in the heady scent. Brilliant.
"Well, I have to make sure," Remus said with a half-smile. "You were here for a bit longer than me. And if this place is speeding up your pregnancy it's a logical question." Once more, he let his hand roam, resting on her bulging stomach. "It's called a sonogram," Remus supplied. His hand fell aware as he sat up, staring at her. "He's fine? Nothing... nothing out of..."
