“Oh I do think that was quite unjust! Mice are highly intelligent I am quite sure they must have escaped on their own” He grinned impishly as he teased her then transformed into a compassionate smile “It is good to see you again…” Gently he reached out to her lightly tapping her hand in a subtle gesture of love for one of his oldest friends. When the conversation once more jumped to Master he gave a delightful laugh so how managing not to sound sardonic “I’m in a generous mood!”
A dark brooding expression fell upon his features as deep creases set along his brow as if he was thinking hard on the subject of companions. Thinking of them was partly painful and partly joyful, a bittersweet memory that lingered on his mind. It had only been a short time since he had left Sarah-Jane on Earth and the wound of her loss was still felt quite deeply “For a time but I suppose I was always meant to be alone” He took a less gentlemanly sip of the vodka, more like a gulp to finish up the glass and offered it up for more suddenly brightening up “No…no….I think you would make a wonderful traveling companion! You should take the Master with you…please take him …I think he need of a good thrashing though I’m not sure if you wouldn’t enjoy it.”
