"I haven't either, not to this extent anyway," Fred replied in the most reassuring manner she could. "But some people have made theories about the possibility of time travel. Several of them were laughed off the stage but they were the ones who were probably right so they'd have the last laugh," she rattled off, followed by a small laugh.
"Oh. That's...odd." Another confusing piece to an already difficult puzzle. Fred bit her lip as she frowned. Now that sounded more like a barrier spell of some sort encompassing the city. Another big bad like the Beast? If the sun could be blotted out, people could be prevented from leaving the city.
Once again, she felt that stab over her eye that meant, even for Fred's unusually active brain, she was thinking too much and not getting enough answers. "I'm sorry about that," she said finally, "but maybe...if there's nothing back there, you could stay here and start over?" she suggested innocently.
