"I'm not after her." Elle said. She had no interest in Claire. She could see why she'd be so paranoid though. Elle remembered Noah's words to her when she'd been tied up in the Bennet house in Costa Verde.
"I was there. When your father first brought you in. You were a normal girl. Unicorns and rainbows, and then they started the testing. The human brain isn’t built to take that much electricity. You poor girl." Noah had said.
"My father would never let that happen." Elle had protested.
"Your father was leading the charge." Noah countered. "Why do you think I never let the Company get their hands on Claire? I didn't want her to become you."
Elle was Claire gone wrong. Her own father had experimented on her until she passed out from the strain and then he continued anyway. Elle didn't remember, but why would Noah lie to her like that?
She shook her head and faced Alice, but she was speaking to Claire too. "I'm not here to get anyone, I swear." If anything, she wanted to be left alone. Maybe if Mohinder was here, he could back her up.
Claire bit her lip, she did feel a bit sorry for Elle. She guessed it wasn't really her fault that she was like this, if her father had done those things. She wondered what Elle would have been like if she hadn't been driven insane by what they did to her as a kid. Claire was lucky to have Noah, he was a much better father than Bob Bishop was.
