He smiled a little. "Thanks." Despite her annoying tendencies, Sam couldn't deny that he wasn't glad to have met Elisabeth either. She was the one who had helped him advance, even just a little, with his abilities. And she seemed pretty willing to go out and have a good time when he needed it. Even if she...tended to overdo it a bit.
His eyebrows rose upward as she began to list off other drinks and, almost at once, his smile broadened in amusement. "Sounds like something Dean would come up with," he laughed. "I'm glad he's not around. He'd probably order those just to see what they are."
He leaned against the table and shrugged. "Sorry." And he was. "I'm just not...I don't want to get involved with flirtation and all of that right now." He didn't want to get into that either. "I'm really not making this having fun thing easy, am I?" He reached for his drink and cleared his throat. "Let's not talk about depressing stuff anymore, all right? Let's just drink!" He was trying to be a little more positive, for her sake. She should have been grateful, as that was kind of a rare thing with Sam.
