Brennan winced a little but the mention of a motel seemed to throw a whole lot of other questions at her. “If there’s no way out of the city, what happens with money, food, place to stay? All of that is important.” She paused and gave him a look that said she still didn’t understand, she was just trying to arrange her thoughts rationally. There was no denying she was there.
“You can’t just invent words, Booth, it doesn’t work like that.” She stated but grinned; she was used to the teasing by now and even found herself referring to herself and the others at the Jeffersonian as Squints at times.
“They think this is normal? But how?” Temperance frowned and it continued to deepen as he made the point of the time differences, she still wasn’t sure if she believed that yet. “They could think we’re dead, we have made some enemies through cases so it wouldn’t be entirely unlikely.”
She also stopped walking when he did, “if and only if I see a..vampire and have proof they are indeed one I’ll maybe believe it. But it’s just not possible, scientifically.” Brennan stated mater-of-factly, she’d need a whole lot of proof for half of the things Booth had told her. “Really?” She grinned, “I still don’t think its very FBI.”
