When he mentioned the creds Max just grinned. She pounced on any chance to be useful and started immediately digging around through her bag. "They're still using paper money here," she said, rolling her eyes. She knew Terry would find that as ridiculous as she did.
"And paying their bills by hand," she added. Rustling around a few more things revealed her wallet which she grabbed and opened. "The first few weeks I was here, before I got the hotel gig, I was hustling gamer boys for money in the arcades. I've still got a bunch left over, plus they're paying me for doing security at the hotel."
Max pulled out a twenty, handing it to Terry so that he could see. "Kind of cool, once you get over the fact that it's paper." She shrugged. "Some people have cred cards --Credit cards, they say-- but a lot goes into getting one of those."
