"Yes. Quite the old lady." Selene retracted her hand and stepped back. To her it was just a quick, fluid movement. Anyone else would see just a fast blur of ghastly white.
"I am glad you had a good time, you are a natural."
Selene shrugged trying to forget the foolish words she had spoken to him. "Nevermind, just silly romantic notions of the world from an old soul. One who still tries to see the world the way it was."
This was why she was often silent. When she did chose to speak so often those words haunted her later. Like they were now. "I should really get back, before I say anything else of a ridiculous nature." Selene sighed softly as she looked down the street away from him. She didn't want to go but it was likely for the best. With a longing look down the empty street she began her trek back to the church. Alone.
