Selene gave him a sincere look. "I promise." She whispered in return.
What he said was endearing. It made her cheeks flush the slightest shade of pink, so pale it was still hardly noticeable. Most did not care to look in her eyes and see the sadness. Because it was there. No matter how she tried to hide it.
"Made of metal." She paused and thought on that. It made sense. For as athletic as he is, he was entirely too heavy. "Interesting." Of course she wanted to know more, but if she asked it all now there would be no reason to have a round of beer later. She was looking forward to that. "Makes sense, you are awfully heavy."
Selene walked in behind him, her eyes surveying the damage. "The place does seem in need of a remodel." The scent of burnt flesh hit her nose like a ton of bricks and she covered her mouth and nose with the back of her hand. "Do you smell that?" She groaned.
