Even though Willow and Dawn had been speaking, the redhead had also been listening to what Davy had been saying. So when he suddenly stopped and announced he was going to go get a sword and some rum, her brow furrowed a bit as she watched him go. Once he was out of the room, she glanced to Dawn.
"Okay, Davy Jones used to ferry the souls of those who died at sea to the other side. It was his duty, and well, long story short, he stopped doing it and turned into the tentacled monster type creature guy. Then he ended up ticking off Wolfram & Hart and they shoved his soul back inside of his chest and made him human again." She said it all quickly, wanting the conversation over with before Davy returned. Glancing over her shoulder to make sure he was still gone, she looked back to the younger woman and added, "He's from a couple of centuries or so ago, so we're probably making him a little twitchy with our modern womanly ways, but I just know he'll be a good one to have with us on this trip. Not even Buffy could beat him in a swordfight, I don't think, and he knows more than probably even Giles if he sets his mind to offering the information. So even if he may say things that are a little strange, for us, let's just keep all of that in mind, okay?"
Smiling again when Davy returned, she nodded her head at him then glanced to Dawn. "Alrighty. I think I have an idea on how to get us to an Orb." Rising to her feet, she moved toward Davy and motioned for Dawn to follow.
"Dawnie, I want you to think about an Orb of Thesulah as hard as you can. Close your eyes and picture it in your mind." Gently, she took one of the girl's hands within her own. "I'm going to give you some of my magic and let it do all of the work. Just, whatever you do, only think about the Orb. Otherwise who knows where we'll end up." Glancing to Davy, she added cheerfully enough, "And all you need to do is just stick close so you'll be taken along for the ride, okay?"
Then she nodded at the younger woman to go ahead, Willow's smile slowly fading as she concentrated on sending as much magic as she could into the other girl without overwhelming her.
