Sam took the card and smiled. It was good to know that this was a safe place (should he ever need one in the future.) He didn't have the heart, however, to tell her that once he leapt he wouldn't have the card anymore. But he would try to remember the hotel. It might get swiss-cheesed in his mind. But he would try. And Al would try too.
But maybe it was good this way. Maybe it was good for Douglas to have the card, in case he needed help in the future.
"Thanks, Annie. Thanks a lot."
"Sweet kid," Al said. "Reminds me a lot of Trudy..."
Sam nodded. It was one of those moments where he wished he could give Al a hug or a pat on the back.
"Well, I guess our best bet is to find this shelter then?"
"Ziggy gives that the highest probability for your leaping."
