"Don't be so paranoid, Al. I'm sure there's a logical explanation to what she's saying. Maybe there are just some bad men in this area. Los Angeles is a tough city, right? I mean, maybe she knows about some local criminals," Sam said, trying to sound as optimistic as he could.
That wasn't reassuring to Al, though. But very little was. He was extremely superstitious about things. And boogeymen? Well, that was up there with closet monsters. Which he was almost completely positive had to have existed. Even if he hadn't seen them since he was a child.
