"Well, I'm not too sure," she replied with a squinty expression. "A few of them said they weren't hiring anyone anymore because of the state of the city, but two of them gave me forms for my resume. They're theatres, too, so it's not like I'll just be singing in a nightclub, even though I wouldn't really mind that at this point."
The redhead blushed a little again as they walked, though she wasn't quite as embarrassed as she was flattered. But it wasn't something she'd done to get praise. She truly wanted to make sure Peter was safe, even if she couldn't do much but be there for him when he got back from his patrols. "I don't know about brave," she replied honestly. "I couldn't stand knowing he was here by himself. I almost lost him too many times already."
