Lost (DC!Lois, SV!Clark) Who: Lois Lane, and the younger Clark What: Lois arrives in LA... and sees a face she never thought she'd see again. When: Tuesday night Where: a dark alley Rating: Um... PG, PG-13ish? Status: In progress
This was truly the second worst day of Lois's life... and unfortunately for her, it was just about to get worse.
She trudged into her apartment in the afternoon, her face red from excessive amounts of crying. She automatically slumped onto the couch, feeling more tired than ever.
In three days, she hadn't slept. Three days. The first had been because she had tirelessly been covering Doomsday's rampage, and the last two had been because of Clark.
God, Clark.
He really was gone, and she couldn't believe it.
Part of her had been in denial, though he'd slipped away in her arms, in the one place he could die peacefully.
But the reality crashed down at her at the funeral.
At first, she hadn't even wanted to go, but then Perry and Jimmy had both prodded her, and finally, something tugged at her until she gave in. And then it had all came crashing down on her.
She felt so lost now, and so alone, more than she ever had in her life. Before Clark, she'd been happy alone. She'd been independent, married to the job, whatever one would want to call it. And now, she wondered how on earth she'd be able to survive without him.
Before she knew it, she was crying again, and in no time at all, she'd cried herself to sleep.
When she awoke what seemed to be hours later, a foul smell filled her nostrils, and she found herself groaning in disgust to discover her face was pressed against a stinky old garbage bag instead of the arm of the couch.
Wait a minute... She blinked, realizing she had no idea where she was.
She slowly sat up, glancing around, and realized she was in an alley. A very dark alley, and she knew the day had long since slipped into the night. She moved to stand, wondering how she'd ended up in Suicide Slums, or what she believed was Suicide Slums.
As she started out of the alley, and into the night, someone grabbed her, and she screamed.
