"Sounds good," he said, leaning back in the bed as his vision grew blurry. Pain and blood loss were starting to catch up with him. He wanted to find River, he wanted desperately to find his sister, but his body had reached the point where it would fail him if he negleced it any further.
Then the Doctor asked a question. Simon blinked, and took a breath. "Simon. Doctor... Simon Tam. Thank..." The rest was lost as Simon dropped into sleep.
He awoke some time later. His wound was stitched and bandaged well. Quite well, actually. Whoever this Doctor was, he had talent, honorary title or no.
Simon started to sit up, wincing when the freshly stitched wound protested, then waited a moment and tried again, more slowly. He'd taken care of himself, now it was time to find River.
He looked around the room, slowly remembering where he was, and now looking for the enigmatic Doctor.
