He'll be fine. Toph wondered if Katara knew how unlikely that was going to happen. Sokka, if not in a very dangerous situation, couldn't really get himself out of the trouble he got himself stuck in. At least not when someone else was around to help him. But if he somehow ended up here, then he'd at least have people to look out for him.
She crossed her arms over her chest, listening as Katara spoke again. But there was no denying the look of slight surprise when the other girl mentioned the name Zuko. And so casually too. Really, wasn't that the same guy who had tried to dispose of them on more than one occasion? Even if he had shown signs of turning over a new leaf, Toph still wasn't convinced. Using the word strange for that, was a tiny bit of an understatement. "Zuko?" Shaking her head, she figured that she'd ask about that later.
"Last time I checked, people and creatures weren't the same things." Yes, there was that beloved sarcasm again. She wouldn't be the one and only Toph without it. "Dangerous creatures...Katara, you know I can handle myself. Even if the people here wouldn't think much of a little blind girl, I definitely prove them wrong, don't I?" Rhetorical question, of course. She could be cocky, but she was confident she could take on these "creatures" with her earthbending. And, as much as her pride conflicted with it, she knew when she actually needed help. "Have you encountered any of these creatures?"
Toph tipped her head to the side a bit in curiosity. "On another subject...might I ask why you referred to Zuko before in such a casual way? That's not like you. Unless something's changed since you came here." Hopefully the other girl would remember that she could tell when someone was lying.
