She walked with Katara, delighting in the feeling of solid ground beneath her feet instead of sand and listening to her explanation of this place called Los Angeles. And from what she was hearing, this place was very strange. Toph wrinkled her nose when she heard that no one had even heard of bending. "Never heard of bending. What, have they all lived under rocks their whole lives?" A world without benders meant she was the only earthbender here. That was definitely different than back home. Earthbenders there were very common.
"Hn, I bet these cars aren't so tough. They've never been up against an earthbender, I bet." She had a smug look on her face, but it went away when Katara stopped and spoke again. Anyone with half a brain could hear that underlying tint in her voice. The slightest bit of fear or worry. "Well, of course it's different." Toph shrugged a bit. "Aang's probably just overly curious about this place. Once he loses interest, we could all work to find a way back." Staying here seemed a very unappealing thought.
The small earthbender could tell from Katara's movements that they weren't going any further right then. "Nah, he hasn't gotten in much trouble with me around. But now that I'm here, I can't exactly make any promises. Though, hopefully he'll be okay by himself."
