Yeah, Toph and Katara were pretty much opposites. She seemed a little too conservative at times where Toph had no cares. That combined with lots of other little things about them that inevitably clashed, was the cause. The earthbender drove Katara insane. She sometimes thought it was funny and other times it made them argue. But either way, they were still friends. To "see" a familiar face in this situation was nice, she had to admit.
Los Angeles? Where in the world was that? And no bending? "Another world without bending? Geez, that really is nothing like home." She didn't think she was going to like this Los Angeles place very much. It was...weird.
She truthfully didn't know why Katara sounded so happy. Really, with everyone who'd disappeared lately, you would think she had found at least one person from home. Like Aang and Appa, for instance. Was she really that glad to see her? Then again, she might be by herself. Toph thought about it a moment. If Aang had disappeared too, why wasn't he with Katara?
At the mention of getting onto solid land, Toph couldn't help but be happy. "That definitely sounds good to me." She never liked sand anyway. Too shifty.
