Amelia smiled at the compliment. It was a rare thing indeed to hear such statements from the stoic Hapan Queen, and she wasn't about to act as though it didn't make her feel good to know that the woman felt that way about her. She wanted Tenel Ka's approval, wanted her in her life. She just wasn't sure how to get this version comfortable enough around her for that to happen. At least back home, her mother was well aware of the type of person she was, the life she'd lived, and the feelings she had in regards to Jacen Solo.
"You have every right to be," she replied softly, meaning every word. "Just because I was raised by my grandparents doesn't mean I ever forgot that you were my mother." She smiled once more, a tender expression. Had Tenel Ka been anyone but herself, Amelia likely would've taken her hand in a show of love and tenderness.
That wasn't how things were done, however, and so instead she finished her drink and glanced down at the empty bottle. Her mouth opened, the words wanting to come out, but she hesitated for a second. With a soft sigh, her gaze flickered back to Tenel Ka.
"Are... are you certain he's still Jacen?" she questioned, almost hesitantly. Even though she'd swore she wouldn't bring him up again, she couldn't seem to help it. She had to know. Had to.
