"Taking names would be quite the chore. I imagine the list would be rather long." The bottle of beer was placed in front of her and she eyed it with reserved intention. Her slender fingers wrapped around the glass cylinder. She didn't need to lean in closer to smell it, the scent of fermented yeast and hops hit her from where she sat.
Glancing at him she lifted the bottle and hesitated. Then took a long drink. Almost half the bottle. Setting it down she swallowed the freezing cold liquid. Her fingers pressed in a slight touch against her mouth to supress the belch that wanted to come out, but she refused it passage. Baby steps. Once the urge passed she smiled at him. "Not bad."
To be honest it was not that different from wine. Not as heavy. But the amber colored drink held the same sort of bitterness.
"I hate to jump right to business," Though she felt like she should as this didn't have the feel of a social call but a forced chat that he didn't really care to have. Might as well get it over with and let him go on his way. "Don't want to keep you. I am new here, obviously, I know little about..well everything it seems. I have entered into a contract of employment with Lindsey and Wolfram & Hart. Tell me, how grave of a mistake have I made?"
