Re: Just observing.....
From where she stood the light smell of tobacco lingered in the air as it floated away from him. When she noticed a sideways glance was cast her way she grew visibly stiff. Rising from where she had taken a seat upon the ground she slipped around the side of the massive statue. Not hiding, but obscuring more of herself. Still, she remained visible enough to keep an eye on the strange pair of eyes that would be cast her way every now and again.
The company the stranger kept was familiar to Selene. Mr. McDonald. Selene was not adverse to him, his company was hard to keep, he seemed irritated most of the time.
Pale fingers curled around the corner of the statue she stood behind. Her eyes flooded with a snow storm of white, to better see who it was Lindsey spoke to. His eyes, his face, the air about him was familiar to her. Not that they had ever met, but because he carried him self in a similar countenance as Selene. Somber. Morose. Take your pick. It was there.
Their conversation did not fall on deaf ears. What she heard concerned her greatly. Kidnapping. Not the sort of business she thought a law firm would be in. Then again, Selene knew very little about what she had agreed to. Hearing these words made her heart skip a few beats. From her perch behind the crying angel she watched the two men hoping she might learn more about the man with the soulful eyes and what she had really gotten herself into with Lindsey.
