Zod chose to take Lindsey's advice. The fragile human had some good points; he would need allies if it turned out that it was true, that there were other gifted heroes around the city. The general knew quite a few things about courts and the law. He was a former member of the Krypton Council, after all. He did not know everything about Earth laws, but he knew enough that it couldn't possibly be legal for Kal-El to keep his own son from him.
Ohh, he would gladly tear this city apart until it was nothing more than rubble after a nuclear blast, all just to find his son Lor-Zod. But there was a chance that this Chris would still not be located after that. So, Zod needed something else, something extra, an edge.. an advantage.
So, he walked through the front doors and approached the front reception desk. "You.. human!" He waved at the young lady behind the counter. "Yes.. I come for a meeting with your superior. I have come to make an alliance."
She smiled nervously. This guy had a commanding air about him. "Yes, sir.. what is your name, and who referred you?"
He spoke sternly, "General Zod.. your ruler! I was told of this place from a man who works here. Lindsey McDonald. He told me to come here, to this primitive structure that you weak humans inhabit."
"Oh! yes, of course," she said with a quick nod. She had gone over the boards, as some employees here did at times for viewing purposes. "He's our superior. Well.. we call him the CEO. He runs the place."
"Good," he said with a smirk, "then you will tell him I am on my way. And you will kneel before Zod."
The woman looked confused for a moment, but then bowed her head slightly, before looking back up at him. Then she picked up the phone and pressed a button for Lindsey's office. "Sir? A man is here. General Zod. He wants to meet you... he's standing right in front of me.."
