Giving Gabriel a look that clearly said 'you're being silly' when he said he was nothing special, Sarah remained otherwise quiet again until Maya explained herself and questioned them. "Of course it makes sense," she said with another reassuring smile. "We just want to do whatever we can to reassure you. This can't be easy at all, and I don't think anyone is expect you to change all of your opinions overnight."
Knowing Peter's distance had little to do with Maya's control of her ability, and more than aware of the repeated rise and fall of Peter's nerves each time he adjusted his distance, Nathan was growing far more curious – and concerned – as to what this ability was, especially with the knowledge Sylar had helped her control it. To him, that spoke not of concern, but attempts to use this woman as a tool or as a test subject before stealing the ability for himself.
"He taught you how to control your ability?" he asked, turning to her. After all, she had brought it up. "What is it, if you don't mind me asking?" He only hesitated a beat before continuing. "I have an ability myself, I know how difficult having once can be."
