Gabriel had ducked his head to try and hide the blush that had blossomed up on his cheeks and was slowly creeping down his neck. Sipping his coffee, Gabriel cleared his throat briefly, "I'm nothing special, really," He said, half murmuring into the coffee cup. "They're exaggerating."
Taking a slow sip of his coffee, Gabriel sighed before glancing over at Peter where he was standing, "It was Luthorcorp," He said simply before glancing back over at Maya. He didn't know what she could do, but from the sound of it, the way that she had used it to threaten him, he could only guess that it was something dangerous, and something that Luthorcorp would have delighted in exploiting. And he didn't want to see anyone placed in that position just because they didn't know to avoid it.
And considering the history that was here... Gabriel couldn't help but feel like he had to help her as much as he could, penance for his future sins. No matter how odd and unnecessary that might have sounded to others.
