If it had been at all appropriate, Gabriel would have hugged Nathan for saving him the embarrassing shuffle of attempting to put a decent enough amount of space between himself and Maya in order to keep her from feeling caged. Offering Nathan a very soft yet clearly grateful smile, Gabriel moved back to the front desk in order to retrieve his coffee, squeezing Peter's shoulder briefly in understand, before returning back to the couch and settling himself down next to Nathan.
"That cafe that I mentioned is just a few blocks for here, if you want to stop by and talk to them after... After we're done whatever this is," Gabriel said with a nervous laugh.
