It didn't take much in the way of deduction for Sarah, between knowing what some future possibility of Gabriel's life held and seeing how Peter was keeping carefully back, to realize this woman had some power that he definitely didn't want. That was why she met him with coffee and several cookies before he had reached his intended target, allowing him the opportunity to get further back still while remaining in the same room, if he wanted to do so. Handing him the mug and the cookies, she gave him a sympathetic smile and then returned to get Maya her soda, which she passed to the woman with another smile, this one reassuring. This couldn't be easy for her at all.
Once distributed, she moved to lean against the front counter in case anyone else wanted anything.
The couches weren't the best as far as seating, as it mean Maya would need to sit near someone if she chose one, but Nathan moved to solve that issue by rolling over one of the chairs so she had her own seat, which he offered to the woman with another smile. After he had, he settled on the sofa, somewhat of a buffer between her and the rest of the seating, allowing Gabriel the chance to sit as well and hopefully not worry as much about the 'where' of sitting down.
