Booth turned towards the woman waiting for their order, grinning. "We'll take your largest pie with everything except the anchovies, a large order of wings hot, and a side order of breadsticks, please." He fished out his wallet as she started to ring up the order.
"And I feel so much better now. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had decided to hold it in that much longer," he replied, putting a hand over his heart. "Thank you for making me see the error in my untruthful ways.
"Who would have thought?" he handed the waitress the money and took the number for their table. "Sounds like it wasn't just an undercover experience for you." This time it wasn't as amused as understanding. It happened on those assignments, sometimes.
