Selene did in fact miss the simplicity of the ancient world. Given the opportunity she would go back to those times in a heartbeat.
"What does it matter if I am different?" She questioned with an air of irritation in her voice. Selene often wondered if it matter at all if she existed anymore at all. Her family was gone. Every last soul she had grown with over the centuries was lost. This new world, the one in which she lived alone, had no real purpose for her. She was a leaf on the wind floating from one place to the next.
"More importantly, what does it matter to you who or what I am?" Yes, she was defensive. Selene was very alone in this world and the only person out there protecting her was herself. There was no one left to watch her back.
