He realized this was going to take a bit more history.
"I am the first of my people. Born this way, the father of them. I watched my kingdom flourish, become great. Back when the world was still quite new and beautiful, not poisoned by technology. Times were much simpler then." He looked at her, knowing she knew what that meant and what it was like.
"Then the ones I'd chosen, carefully turned them to be my children they began to get too greedy for their own good. Decided to bring a mutiny upon me by turning as many as they could. Only the ones they turned were weaker than them, not coming from a pure blood line. Those began to turn more, so on and so forth.
The bloodline became so tainted and weak. These newer weaker vampires outnumbered their creators five to one. My children were lost in the battle that went on for centuries. I do not claim any of these pathetic beings as mine. They're weak and selfish. But you are different."
