"You do now," he responded coldly. He considered, yet again, grabbing his knife. But she was backing away, so he supposed that it wasn't entirely necessary. The view of the trunk stocked away with weapons had seemed to be more than enough to intimidate her. Which was good, considering.
"Three people dead, one life destroyed," Sam replied. "And this is just the beginning." He didn't know why she was so concerned about the situation. She should have been pleased to hear that there was a slaying here in any shape or form. That was how demons worked. "Shapeshifter. Maybe two." He lifted his chin and glared off at her. "I'm guessing that this is the part where you pretend to be all sympathetic. Feel free to skip through it."
