First, I just need to finish taking your vitals to make sure you are nice and healthy. If the pregnancy is going faster, I want to be sure your body is ready for it. Have you had any increased symptoms? Tenderness anywhere, any cramping, cravings, any changes?"
He took the sphygmomanometer out and wrapped the cuff around her arm, showing it to her. "This handy little device is called a sphygmomanometer. It's going to tighten around your arm, and cut off blood flow for a few seconds, to test the pressure of your blood. You'll feel it tighten, then slowly loosen. It might be a bit uncomfortable for a moment, but it won't hurt and won't bruise. Ready?"
