It wasn't as if Cassie looked exactly happy herself, or perhaps she just felt it.
She shook her head sadly at Maya's words, she was rapidly getting used to knowing a hell of a lot more about what was going to happen to her friends than they did and she hated it, luckily she'd learnt not to share everything, which could explain why she was in a bar getting steadily drunk rather than back at her flat having a laugh with her flatmate. "One of those annoying timeline things, yeah?" she asked her voice breaking a little, "christ how long does it take people to realise telling people how fucked up everything becomes is a really shitty idea? Sorry you found some bad stuff." Of course she could have been talking about the demons and the vampires of course, but Cassie was drunk enough to assume whatever Maya's problem was was similiar to her own.
"It's a pretty good way of dealing with this stuff," she agreed, sliding up one seat closer to her. "I'm Cassie by the way," she said offering her hand.
