After the impromptu toast and his drink, Lindsey cast a glance sideways at his barmate as she knocked back her drink. An honestly amused snort followed at the facial expression, leading him to assume that whiskey had never been her drink of choice and now, might not ever be. But she'd tried it and that won her credit.
There was still enough for one drink left when he set the glass down on the bar. "It gets better the more you drink it," he said helpfully, reaching over to pull the small basket of pretzels closer. "Of course, in succession, everything gets better." If that wasn't one of the main reasons people downed the potent drinks in the first place.
He picked up a pretzel but was distracted from the snack by her question. It did taunt his curiosity slightly as to why she would be asking for someone in a bar and why she wouldn't know what he looked like but he did enough prying into other people's business that a complete stranger was off limits. He shook his head. "My name's Lindsey. Sorry."
