At this point, Sarah was seriously considering sliding under the table, the only thing that stopped her being the fact that she would still be in the bar and near the man she'd thought was Peter. What kind of person did that make her, that it had taken touching a strangers hand and projecting thoughts to be able to figure out he wasn't her boyfriend?
She groaned, burying her face in her hands. "He's my boyfriend, I thought we were- oh my God." She wouldn't be able to find the words to explain what she thought had been going on, even had she been willing to say things that would reveal far too much about Peter. "This is mortifying."
