Strangely, it was the confession of selfish reasons that was more believable than anything else Angela had said to him thus far, because Nathan could understand those, if it was as he was concluding from what she said. The fear of being disbelieved, thought crazy. Of course, they had both done plenty to foster the 'Petrellis are crazy' agenda once.
"Because you couldn't drop off the balcony and show your abilities, like we could," he said, then closed his eyes. The question was there again, far more appropriate to the situation than it had been to others, but once again he debated asking it. This time, he choose differently.
"So what is it?" he questioned quietly. "Your ability?"
He could have known a long time ago, either asking her and possibly getting an answer or, more likely for him, asking Peter what it was because his brother had likely absorbed it long ago. But he hadn't. He wasn't certain before he wanted to know. Even now, he wasn't certain he did, but he was certain he wanted the truth and he wanted it from her.
