"You will have to pardon our ignorance," Lindsey replied as he stopped beside his desk, feeling a little irritated that something as big as a hospital escape had been shuffled by so many other things on his desk to become a low priority to be checked out. "There has been a dramatic increase in activity in the city as of late and we have been extremely busy."
He held up a finger, wondering where that damn file had gotten off to. "I was aware of a chaotic hospital break out downtown but unaware that it was your doing." In a momentary glance at his desk, he spotted the file tucked away under several and as nonchalantly as he could, slowly tugged it from the pile and slid it towards Charlie, an offer for her to read if she wanted. He'd barely skimmed it himself.
Lindsey did respect him for his views on balance. So many of their clients were about destructon, causing the most amount of terror they could, and citing their own inhumanity as the reason why. Few realized that human life was valuable and part of the balance that the world kept. "Wolfram and Hart can set you up with a place to stay," he replied, deciding to get the easier of the two tasks out of the way first.
He let Charlie ask the next question but that wasn't the last for this round yet. He had noticed that besides a name, Drake had offered up nothing more on him. So to gather the information and satisfy his own curiosity, Lindsey decided to take the bait and ask. "You've given us a name," he said a few brief moments after Charlie's question, "but not much else. If you would tell us about yourself, it would be appreciated."
