"Sorry, just ate," Cordelia replied flatly as she stepped into the light provided by the streetlamp overhead. She had a crossbow held firmly in her grasp, her expression a hardened one as she aimed it at the man holding the latest star of one of her visions in a death grip.
The vampire laughed, releasing Michael before turning to face her. "And just what do you think you're going to do with that?" he questioned, grinning with a mouthful of fangs. Cordelia mere arched a brow.
"This," she stated before firing. The bolt hit its mark and slammed into the vampire's chest. An instant later he burst into dust. Before his remains could even fully reach the ground she was already re-loading and taking aim at another one. "Anymore questions?"
With a low growl, the vampire launched himself at her and she once again fired. Stepping through the ashes of that one, she yet again took aim. The remaining few apparently decided she wasn't as easy to kill as she looked and quickly beat a hasty retreat. She managed to snag one in the back as he was fleeing, but the two others got away.
Annoyed at that fact, she frowned a bit before finally looking to the man she'd just saved. It was the same one she'd been speaking with over the message board earlier. The one who had called her crazy. Which was, of course, the main reason she'd opted to take care of this particular vision herself.
Shoving her crossbow back into the sack she had slung across her shoulder, she quirked an eyebrow at the man. "I told you so," she said with a hint of a smirk, but there wasn't much humor behind her words. Approaching him, she looked him up and down before asking, "So, are you hurt? Because if not, it'd probably be best if we beat a retreat from him. Just a matter of time before the ones that got away show back up with some friends."
