Faith laughed at the image of Logan stabbing a blonde. "Yeah, well, like I said, exception rather than rule. Most guys seem to go for the, well, Buffy kinda girl." She smirked, somewhat ruefully before looking away awkwardly.
"I killed people Logan. And I tortured them, held them hostage, beat the living crap outta them. I was a goddamn assassin for the highest bidder, which at one stage did include Wolfram and Hart. Sometimes I think B and all won't ever really forgive me for what I did. They'd probably be right not to. Lindsey gets that side of me. Not many more would want to." She shrugged and her usual smirk settled back on her face. "Besides, maybe all I do want is sex anyway. Easier that way."
She gave him a slightly amused sideways look, and resisted the urge to point out that she could more than retaliate herself, settling instead for a quiet "Thank you."
She watched the smoke from his cigar curling in the air for a while before speaking. "Not generally no. Me and that whole human contact thing tends not to go so well." She laughed briefly, looking down at her glass. "Last guy I really... Richard..." she caught herself before inhaling sharply and correcting herself. "Mayor Wilkins. Sounds lame but he was like a dad to me. And he was kinda evil. As in pretty much wanted to wipe out humanity evil. See, I know how to pick 'em."
She noticed the tone in Logan's voice and smiled slightly. "You should, see that she's ok. Angelus... yeah, he's a weak spot, for a lot of us. And B's got Spike looking out for her, so it's good that Cordy's got you. She's gonna need you." She tried not to smile too much as she glanced at him. "Do I need to do the whole 'you let her down and I'll beat you to death' speech?"
