It was 5:30 AM when Heidi rolled out of bed, zipped through the shower, made herself presentable and gone to the office to retreive the necessary accounts information from Peter. She'd had the required eight hours of sleep she needed before tackling a massive project, and, loaded down with receits written on everything from proper paper to bar napkins, and a formidable slew of bills, she had set up on a table in the communal dining room that wouldn't interfere with anyone's comings or goings.
The Rothschild banks had their own army of accountants, and the Petrellis had come equipped with their own handful to manage the family's affairs, but Heidi always had, and always would, do her own personal balancing, and oversaw a fair majority of those done at the banks. It was tedious work, but she'd either been born with a knack for dealing with tedium, or developed it shortly after.
Several breaks were needed over the day, during which she stuck Nathan in her seat to make sure nothing was upset by the air conditioner or a passer-by. They were short, the longest lasting ten minutes, during which she had to wrestle the boys into some proper clothes after she found they'd been lazing the afternoon away in their pyjamas. Leaving the building was not an option, between Jareth on the hunt during the day and Angelus on the prowl at night. It was simply a period in which she need to cool her heels, and do what she could to help Peter keep the Hyperion running smoothly. Not being one for daring doings or feats of fighting, she enjoyed the normal tasks set for her.
It was 10:58 now. Stapling a stack of receits for sword repairs with one hand, she began penning the total currently on their tab with the smithy, and tucked them away in the appropriate folder(Weapon Repairs- Swords). Depositing it in the filebox she had recruited Nathan to procure to keep things in order while she worked. She selected the next in line, and glanced at the clock. Weapons Stock- Bullets. Only ten more stacks of sorted receits left to go, and then the water bill.
