Elisabeth had been walking home from work herself, smiling as brightly as the sun might have shone today had it not been hiding behind clouds. She held a glow about her, the glow of an expectant mother. A first time mother at that. While most of the strangers to this city wanted to go home or were depressed or found the constant need to whine, she herself loved it here. She's stated it before and with every growing minute with Gabriel, she felt it rang more and more true.
Though she wouldn't show for weeks, she still found herself rubbing her belly from time to time, wondering if the creation within could hear the rumbling dragging sound that skin on skin might make from the inside.
Elisabeth had been about to cross the street when the sound of a horn alerted her, snapping her head towards the car that was no doubt about to flatten the red haired boy in its path. Without a second thought she threw herself at Ron, using what little shadow she had to teleport them out of harms way. She'd taken them to the nearest park, and once she recovered, she held Ron at arm's length, glaring. "You bloody git, the hell do y'think you were doing? Standing in the road like some daft bloke, that car nearly killed you!!" She shook her head and inspected him, asking, "Jesus, are you alright?"
