Ever since his arrival here in L.A., Peter had found himself being constantly tormented by the presence of Eddie Brock. First, he was working for Lex Luthor, a well known criminal within the area. Then he decided to reform, yet there was still that darkness within him that Peter absolutely refused to trust no matter how much everyone seemed to think that Brock was close to becoming someone who wasn't a threat to them anymore. He wanted to have faith, sure enough, but some people simply could not change. And Eddie? He was one of them. He had murdered innocent people -- or okay, maybe they weren't so innocent, but he had no right whatsoever to start playing god with their lives. They belonged behind bars, not in a cemetary.
And that was what had set him off the most. He was handling the situation. Not only had Brock killed people, but he had unknowingly made his job a little harder in the process. They knew that someone was after them now. They'd be more prepared for whatever it was that was coming their way.
Peter was sure that he'd prefer to high security risk over the dead bodies. But it was something that still annoyed him either way.
Fury built up within him, he swung his way high above the city at a furious rate. He didn't care what anyone had to say about Brock anymore. He knew. He had known all along, even before he had turned into a villain that Brock was a bad character. And now, after all this time of neglecting them, Peter was ready to follow his senses. Because they were sure as hell tingling now.
Landing along the side of a tall building just above City Hall, Spider-Man clung to the wall and irritably waited for his nemesis to arrive.
