WHO: Cordelia Chase and future!Peter Petrelli
WHAT: A discussion of epic proportions.
WHEN: Not long after Kathy's rescue thread.
WHERE: The office at the Hyperion
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
"Willow just finished the uninvite spell. We're still a bit up in the air about whether or not it'll work, but I figure it can't hurt to have in place. Kathy's resting and seems relatively well-balanced considering she just spent the past couple of days at the hands of a total psychopath. Logan's doing a sweep of the hotel as we speak just on the off chance there's a kink in the armor somewhere, and unless you have something else that you'd like for me to delegate to somebody else at the hotel, I think it's time you and I had a little chat." All of this was said at once as Cordelia Chase stepped calmly into the main office and closed the door behind her. Turning back to face Peter, it was obvious that she wasn't going to really give him much of a choice about the whole 'chat' concept.
It was also obvious that something was bothering her, and had very little to do with what had just taken place in Darla's mansion. Or, at least, had very little to do with the main event at the mansion. A few things about the entire situation were bothering her, honestly, but one in particular was weighing heaviest on her mind.
Moving to the chair across from the desk, Cordelia sat down and eyed her Champion for a moment. Her expression was a closed one, her lips set in a thin line as she stared at him.
"So," she finally asked in a cool tone, "Want to tell me why you didn't bother informing me about your little meeting with Lindsey I'm-the-head-of-the-firm-that's-trying-t
And that would be the issue she was having. Her Champion - someone she was supposed to work closely with at all times - had met with their arch enemy and had failed to inform her of that fact. She wasn't angry about it, though. She was hurt. And as anyone could attest, a hurt Cordelia was far more dangerous than an angry Cordelia could ever hope to be. A fact that she had a feeling Peter was about to discover first hand, because anything short of 'I was suffering from temporary total memory loss' was not going to be an acceptable excuse in her book.
